Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Perry has been fined $15,000 for an illegal hit on Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, the NFL announced on Wednesday.
The hit came during the second quarter of Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Colts, as Perry came untouched off the edge and drilled Luck in the chest.
Luck fumbled the football, which was recovered by the Packers inside the Colts 20, but Perry was whistled for unnecessary roughness to negate the turnover.
Perry, who plans to appeal the fine, has 18 tackles and two sacks through five games in his rookie campaign.
