Annie Wright Schools and Scholar Search Associates will sponsor a free educational forum for intellectually curious students and their families from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 4 at Annie Wright, 827 N. Tacoma Ave., Tacoma.

It features interactive sessions for students in grades three through 12, along with exhibits from educational organizations, including Annie Wright, the University of Puget Sound, Northwest Gifted Child Association, Seabury School and others. To reserve a space, go to www.scholarsearchassoc.com.

    Annie Wright Schools and The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation are sponsoring a free screening of the new film “Girl Rising” at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The film, about the ability of education to change the world, is directed by Academy Award-nominated journalist Richard E. Robbins and features nine girls from nine developing countries.
