KPLU’s School of Jazz is searching for new schools to participate in its program that pairs Northwest high school jazz bands with professional jazz musicians and mentors, culminating in a recording.

School of Jazz raises funds for the schools’ music programs, and the radio station plays music from each year’s CD release.

The program is searching for a variety of jazz musicians, from big bands to smaller ensembles, either vocal or instrumental. The application deadline is Oct. 31.
