The Jacksonville Jaguars inked veteran safety Chris Harris on Monday.
Harris had yet to suit up in the NFL this season, after splitting last year between Chicago and Detroit. In 11 combined games, he totaled 29 tackles and one interception.
The Louisiana-Monroe product and former sixth-round pick of the Bears in 2005 has racked up 421 tackles, 16 interceptions and 13 forced fumbles in 96 games for the Bears, Panthers and Lions.
To make room on the roster, Jacksonville waived cornerback Kevin Rutland. The 24-year-old second-year pro out of Missouri recorded three tackles in three appearances in 2012.
