 • Join author, professional outdoor photographer and Washington Trails Association correspondent Tami Asars as she discusses her new book “Hiking the Wonderland Trail.” She will be at REI Tacoma, 3825 S. Steele St., tonight from 7-8:30. 360-786-1938, rei.com/Tacoma.

 • It’s election time, and the Summit-Waller Community Association will host a 25th Legislative District Candidate Forum at 7 tonight. Candidates for state senator, Bruce Dammeier and Eric Herde, state representative Position 1, Dawn Morrell and Shelley Schlumpf, and state representative Position 2, Bill Hilton and Hans Zeiger, will answer questions about their positions. The free event is being held at the MidCounty Community Center, 10205 44th Ave. E., Tacoma. 253-820-1123.

 • The Seattle Sounders take on Real Salt Lake in a 7 p.m. match Wednesday. They will be playing at CenturyLink Field, 800 Occidental Ave. S., Seattle. Tickets are $29-$57 and are available through Ticketmaster.
