Pierce County lifts burn ban after recent rains

Pierce County lifted its burn ban Monday because of the recent rains. Officials said the end to the ban does not apply to areas where burning is prohibited because of environmental or pollutions laws. Burning garbage, paper and other refuse is prohibited at all times.
