The Houston Texans placed defensive end Tim Jamison on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Jamison suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Sunday night's 42-24 home loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The fourth-year pro out of Michigan ended the 2012 campaign with just three tackles and one sack in six games.

To fill the roster space, Houston promoted defensive end David Hunter from the practice squad to the active roster.
