Green Bay Packers linebacker D.J. Smith was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his season after he suffered a knee injury.
Smith was hurt during Sunday's win over the previously-unbeaten Houston Texans.
The 23-year-old second-year pro had started each of the Packers' first six games, registering 42 tackles and two sacks.
Also on Wednesday, the Packers signed wide receiver Jeremy Ross and defensive end Drew Vanderlin to the practice squad.
