Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is active for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
The Ravens activated Suggs from the physically unable to perform list on Saturday.
Suggs returned to practice only this week after recovering from a torn Achilles. He suffered the injury in late April and underwent surgery in early May.
Last year's NFL Defensive Player of the Year was unsure during the week if he would play Sunday.
Suggs' return is great news for the Ravens, who have had numerous injuries to their stellar defense. Middle linebacker Ray Lewis is expected to be sidelined until at least late December because of a torn triceps, while cornerback Lardarius Webb was placed on season-ending injured reserve earlier this week because of a torn ACL.
Suggs had a banner 2011 season for the Ravens, posting 14 sacks with 70 tackles, seven forced fumbles and a pair of interceptions.
