Jacksonville Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey announced on Monday that running back Maurice Jones-Drew will miss next Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.
Mularkey said that Jones-Drew hurt his left foot on the first play of the game in the Jaguars' 26-23 overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. He carried the ball two times before exiting.
Jones-Drew was seen on the sideline in a walking boot with crutches. The UCLA product has 86 carries for 414 yards and a touchdown in six games this season.
Mularkey said on Monday that he has no further timeline for Jones-Drew. Rashad Jennings replaced him on Sunday and carried the ball 21 times for 44 yards and a score.
Quarterback Blaine Gabbert also left Sunday's loss with a left shoulder injury, but Mularkey said "there's a good chance (Gabbert will) be able to play this week."
