Green Bay Packers safety Charles Woodson suffered a broken collarbone during Sunday's 30-20 victory over the St. Louis Rams and will be out six weeks.
Woodson showed no signs of the injury during the game and ended with five tackles in the contest.
"Just talking with Charles this morning, he was a little nervous about it last night," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "He let it go through the evening and then this morning he came in and x-rayed it, and that's when we got the news."
He also broke his collarbone during the Packers' Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 15-year pro made the move from cornerback to safety prior to this season and has seemingly not missed a beat, collecting 38 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and an interception through seven games.
An eight-time Pro Bowler and former Defensive Player of the Year, Woodson has amassed 719 tackles, 17 sacks and 55 interceptions over 206 career games with the Oakland Raiders and Packers.
