The Carolina Panthers have placed cornerback Chris Gamble on injured reserve.

Gamble, who did not play in the Panthers' last two games, injured his shoulder against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. After returning to practice last week, the nine-year veteran aggravated the injury, forcing him to miss Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

In four games this season, Gamble recorded 15 tackles and deflected two passes.
