Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has ruled out safety Troy Polamalu for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
Polamalu hasn't played since aggravating a right calf injury versus the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 7. The injury initially occurred in the season opener and he missed two games before making a brief return earlier this month.
Offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) will also miss the Week 8 contest.
Tomlin added that running backs Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) and Isaac Redman (ankle) could return to the field this week. Both sat out Sunday's win at Cincinnati.
