New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will not play Sunday in London against the St. Louis Rams because of an ankle sprain.
Hernandez was hurt during a Week 2 loss to Arizona and missed three games before returning for the last two. He had five catches for 54 yards in last week's win over the New York Jets and has 17 receptions for 143 yards with two touchdowns this season.
The Patriots didn't travel to London until Thursday evening after practicing during the week in Foxboro.
"We got all of our preparation done (in Foxboro) and today's a transition day for us," said Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. "We'll try to make the adjustments here today so that tomorrow could be a normal Saturday for us."
Hernandez is one of seven players ruled out for the game. Running back Brandon Bolden (knee), safety Patrick Chung (shoulder) and safety Steve Gregory (hip) are among the other notable players.
