The Carolina Panthers waived cornerback Brandon Hogan from injured reserve Monday.
Hogan has appeared in just three games for the Panthers since being taken by the team in the fourth round of the 2011 draft due to knee problems that have plagued him since his college career. The West Virginia product spent most of his rookie season on the physically unable to perform list and was placed on injured reserve in August following arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
The 24-year-old tore his left ACL during the final game of his tenure at West Virginia.
