A garage fire that started Monday afternoon in Tacoma was arson, according to the Fire Department.

A fire destroyed a Tacoma garage Tuesday and damaged a nearby garage, according to the Fire Department.
A fire that caused about $12,000 in damages to a Tacoma home Wednesday was caused by a stove fire, the Tacoma Fire Department reported.
Two neighboring homes on Desert Springs Avenue in south Richland were damaged Friday night in a fire. No one was hurt in the blaze, which broke out about 8 or 8:30 p.m., said Battalion Chief James Hempstead of the Richland Fire Department.
It appears the fire started outside, possibly in a fence line area between the homes, he said.
The cause is under investigation.
