Thomas Jefferson High School places 16th in math contest

Thomas Jefferson High School recently placed 16th in the nation in the 2012 Fall Startup Event, a national mathematics contest administered by National Assessment & Testing.

Thomas Jefferson High School in the Federal Way School District recently placed 16th in the nation in the 2012 Fall Startup Event, a national mathematics contest administered by National Assessment & Testing.

Two students received individual awards: Daniel Kim placed 10th in the 10th-grade division and Paul Jaquish placed 13th in the 12th-grade division.

Thomas Jefferson will participate in all five of National Assessment & Testing’s contests this year, including the 2012 Team Scramble on Thursday and the 2012 Ciphering Time Trials on Dec. 13.
