Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said on Monday that running back Maurice Jones-Drew will remain sidelined when his team takes on the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday.
Jones-Drew has missed Jacksonville's last two games with a sprained left foot the 2011 NFL rushing champion sustained in an Oct. 21 loss at Oakland.
Mularkey also stated during his Monday press conference that the injury isn't believed to be season-ending, and the team is hopeful he'll be able to return to action when the Jaguars visit Houston on Nov. 18.
Rashad Jennings will continue to handle lead back duties in Thursday's contest. The fourth-year pro has rushed for 104 yards on 29 carries while catching nine passes totaling 63 yards in Jones-Drew's absence over the last two weeks.
Jacksonville suffered its fifth straight loss with Sunday's 31-14 setback to Detroit and enters the Indianapolis game tied for the NFL's worst record at 1-7.
