Here are local holiday schedules for Veterans Day and its observance Monday:
• Federal, state, city and county offices will be closed Monday.
• All Tacoma Public Library branches will be closed today, Sunday and Monday. Tacoma’s main branch is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Pierce County libraries will be closed Sunday, but open today and Monday.
• Most post offices will be closed Monday.
• Pierce Transit bus service will run on its weekday schedule Monday. Sound Transit, including express buses and light rail, will run on Sunday schedules for the holiday and a weekday schedule Monday.
• Garbage will be picked up on the usual schedule, and the Tacoma landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
