Shotgun blasts destroy restroom at Olympic National Forest trailhead

The Pete’s Creek Trailhead restroom, located on Olympic National Forest’s Pacific Ranger District, was vandalized recently when hit with shotgun blasts. It is closed indefinitely until repairs can be made, forest officials said.

The Pete’s Creek Trailhead restroom, located on Olympic National Forest’s Pacific Ranger District, was vandalized recently when hit with shotgun blasts. It is closed indefinitely until repairs can be made, forest officials said.

The Lower Pete’s Creek Trail remains open.

The list of repairs includes replacing the windows, toilet, ventilation stack, handicap railing, toilet paper bar and trash can.

Repairs are expected to cost more than $900.
