Event at Bonney Lake High School shows how to monitor teens online

Bonney Lake High School and Panther Parent Pride are hosting a free workshop, “A Guide to Responsible Social Networking,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The event will be held at the school, 10920 199th Ave. Ct. E., and the public is invited to attend.

The session will inform parents, educators and the community how to protect youths from online predators.

It will stress the importance of monitoring websites frequently visited by pre-teens and teens, the information they post about themselves, and the offhand remarks they sometimes make.
