Sixteen: That is the number of developed campgrounds within Olympic National Park. Folks looking for a winter weekend getaway have several options.

Park campgrounds open year-round include Elwha (primitive camping through March 21, $12 a night, 40 sites), Hoh (A loop open, $12), Staircase (primitive through May 25, $12, 49 sites), Sol Duc (primitive through April 14, $14, 82 sites) and Kalaloch (North Loop open year-round, $14-$18).
