Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton was benched following the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Skelton completed 2-of-7 passes for just six yards in the first stanza. Coming into Sunday's game, Skelton had thrown for 1,052 yards with two touchdowns and five interceptions.

Ryan Lindley, a sixth-round pick in this year's draft, took over under center on the Cardinals' first possession of the second frame.
