Consumers take heart, three weeks of gas wars are continuing unabated in parts of the South Sound.

In Bonney Lake, where those price skirmishes have been the most intense, five stations were selling a gallon of unleaded regular for less than $3.20. The price leaders there, two Arco stations, were pricing their gas at $3.14 a gallon Monday morning.
