Brady Quinn has been named the Kansas City Chiefs' starting quarterback for this Sunday's contest against the Denver Broncos.

Quinn replaced an ineffective Matt Cassel for the second half of last Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and completed 9-of-14 passes for 95 yards.

"As far as who it's going to be at quarterback, Brady (Quinn) is going to start, Matt (Cassel) is going to be the backup," Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said. "That's what we are doing, and going forward, that's what it is,"

Quinn has appeared in four games for the Chiefs this season, including two starts, and has thrown for 308 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 60.3 percent of his passes.

Sunday's game was his first appearance since suffering a concussion in an Oct. 28 contest against the Oakland Raiders.
