Annual Turkey Trot race helps needy

The annual Turkey Trot fun run, a 5K and 10K running race, kicked off early Thanksgiving Day morning in downtown Gig Harbor. The event, which benefits FISH Food Bank, collected tons of food items from the eager runners and walkers early Thursday morning.

The annual Turkey Trot fun run, a 5K and 10K running race, kicked off early Thanksgiving Day morning in downtown Gig Harbor. The event, which benefits FISH Food Bank, collected tons of food items from the eager runners and walkers early Thursday morning.

Clear skies, but brisk temperatures greeted runners and walkers before the start of the fun run that winds through the scenic waterfront drive in downtown Gig Harbor.
