SING-A-LONG “SOUND OF MUSIC” PLUS QUILT ART IN OLYMPIA

Think about heading to Olympia today for this year’s Sing-A-Long “Sound of Music” event at The Washington Center for Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE. The screening will include subtitles so the whole audience can sing along. Show up in your finest duds for the famous fancy-dress competition and show off your tailoring skills. All the fun begins at 5 p.m. today. Tickets are $16 adults, $14 military and $5 youths. Call or go online to get yours; 360-753-8586, washingtoncenter.org.

While you’re down in Olympia, arrive a little early and check out the Holiday Quilt Show on display at The Washington Center for Performing Arts. These quilt works of art were made by Sew Many Stars. The exhibit opens at 2 p.m. and is free.

HARPS IN CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Listen to the melodic sounds of student and faculty musicians at the Studio Series: Harp Ensemble Christmas Concert tonight. The free 8 p.m. concert is at Lagerquist Concert Hall, Mary Baker Russell Music Center on the Pacific Lutheran University campus in Parkland. Call 253-535-7787 for more information on the concert.
