Minnesota 66, Stanford 63: Andre Hollins, a day after scoring 41 points, made three free throws with 0.4 seconds to play to lift the Golden Gophers (6-1) over the Cardinal (4-3) in the Battle 4 Atlantis’ fifth-place game.
The game was tied at 63 and Minnesota was inbounding the ball.
After an inbounds pass, the ball was tipped away by Stanford’s Dwight Powell, who saved it as he was falling out of bounds near midcourt.
Hollins calmly corralled the loose ball and dribbled to midcourt where he launched a shot and was hit on the right arm by Cardinal’s Chasson Randle.
At Utah 66, Wright State 54: Jordan Loveridge scored 22 points and keyed a game-clinching run to power the Utes past the Raiders.
Dallin Bachynski had 16 points and Jarred DuBois added 12 points and seven assists as Utah (4-1) won all three games of its Thanksgiving Tournament.
Loveridge, a freshman forward, grabbed nine rebounds as the Utes outboarded Wright State, 34-21.
Reggie Arceneaux scored 12 points for the Raiders (3-2), who lost two of their three games in Utah.
Utah led 46-42 before Loveridge sparked a 15-2 run with two 3-pointers, a pair of free throws and a baseline jumper. DuBois capped the spurt with a layup to make it 61-42 with 4:53 to play.
