The Peninsula School Board will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday to interview finalists for Position 4. The board will adjourn to executive session to discuss candidates. Action may be taken after.

    Current board members will review applications and nominate finalists for interviews during a special board meeting in public session on March 19. Board members will go into a closed-door session after the interviews to discuss the candidates, and then reconvene in public session to vote in a new member.

  • Walla Walla School Board member resigns post

    WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla Public Schools Board of Directors approved the recent resignation of board member Max Carrera.

    His resignation will be effective Aug. 1.

    In the fall, Carrera will be chairing the Lincoln High School location and facility committee and wanted to conclude his service on the board before the committee begins to meet.
