Tacoma police are investigating a shooting tonight that sent a 28-year-old man to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, according to spokesman Mark Fulghum.

  • Sheriff's office continues to investigate shooting

    The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate a shooting Tuesday night that sent a man to the hospital.

    The man, who's about 60 years old and lives in Kennewick, was shot at least once in the torso while driving on Pasco Kahlotus Road, said sheriff's Det. Jason Nunez.

    The man told authorities that "people began to shoot at him and chased him" in two pickups, Nunez said.

  • 23-year-old Weiser woman charged with attempted murder in stabbing case

    Samantha M. Davis is being held in the Washington County Jail on a $500,000 bond on an attempted murder charge after Weiser police say she stabbed a man in the back on Jan. 1.

    Police were sent to a home in the 300 block of East Galloway Street just before 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1 and found a 41-year-old man with a stab wound to the lower back. That man was taken to a Boise-area hospital for treatment and was still there as of early Thursday afternoon, according to reports.

    Investigators later determined the 23-year-old Davis stabbed the man and charged her with attempted murder and a felony count of domestic violence/battery the next day. Police officials did not say how Davis and the man knew each other or release any information about a possible motive.

  • 2 injured in Saturday shooting in Kennewick

    Two men were hurt early Saturday in a shooting near 10th Avenue and Washington Street in Kennewick, authorities said.

    The men were in a car that was hit with multiple gunshots about 1:45 a.m., Kennewick police said in a news release.

    The men, who are 22 and 23 years old, went to a local hospital for treatment. Their names weren't released, and an update on their conditions wasn't available Saturday afternoon.

    A 42-year-old man was shot in Pasco around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

    The confrontation occurred at 226 N. Oregon Ave., said Pasco police Sgt. Ben Majetich.

    The suspect was found at the scene and is in police custody, he said. The suspect's identity was not released.
