The following convicted sex offender recently has registered to live in Pierce County.
He is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender — considered most likely to commit similar crimes. He is not wanted by law enforcement officers.
All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s website at www.piercesheriff.org.
KENNETH BURKS
Age: 48.
Description: 5 feet 6 and 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Registered to live: 700 block of South Sprague Avenue, Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 1981 of second-degree rape in King County for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. Also was convicted in 1987 of first-degree rape for assaulting his girlfriend’s 3- and 6-year-old daughters.
Sex offender treatment: There is no documentation in his file to suggest Burks underwent treatment while incarcerated.
