The Peninsula School District Board of Directors Thursday night appointed Dr. Harlan Gallinger to Position 4, vacated by Jill Uddenberg in September. Gallinger was confirmed by a unanimous vote to fill the remainder of the the 3-year term.
Gallinger graduated from Sumner High School, University of Puget Sound and the University of Washington School of Medicine. He works as an emergency physician. He has a teaching background with Teach for America, and a strong passion for public education.
Gallinger will be sworn in at the next regular meeting of the school board on Dec. 6.
