Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt announced Wednesday that John Skelton will replace rookie Ryan Lindley as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Skelton was benched following the first quarter of a Week 11 contest against the Atlanta Falcons. He completed 2-of-7 passes for just six yards before Lindley took over for the remainder of the game.
Lindley has started the last two contests for the Cardinals, but has thrown zero touchdowns and five interceptions during that span.
Skelton has thrown for 1,058 yards to go with two touchdowns and five picks in six games (five starts) this season.
Meanwhile, early-season starter Kevin Kolb has not played since suffering a rib injury in Week 6 and will be held out at least another week.
Arizona has lost eight in a row since a 4-0 start to the season.
