Reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Terrell Suggs will likely be a game-time decision when the Baltimore Ravens visit the Washington Redskins this coming Sunday.

The standout defensive end/linebacker tore his biceps in last week's 23-20 loss to rival Pittsburgh, but returned to the practice field on Thursday and also got in some limited work on Friday. The Ravens have listed Suggs as questionable for Sunday's tilt.

"Hopefully, I can play," Suggs said on Thursday. "I really believe if everything [works] out with how I am feeling, and we do a good job throughout the week, I will be lining up. If not, then I miss the Washington game and hopefully I can be back for the Denver one [in Week 15]."

Suggs, who registered a career-best 14 sacks and a league-best seven forced fumbles along with two interceptions to take home last year's top defender award, also missed the first six games of this season after recovering from a partially torn Achilles tendon sustained during the spring.

Baltimore did rule out linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle) and tight end Ed Dickson (knee) for Sunday's matchup, with cornerback Jimmy Smith doubtful to return from a groin procedure performed last month.

Ellerbe has been starting in place of perennial Pro Bowl honoree Ray Lewis, who remains on the team's injured reserve/designated to return list with a triceps tear he suffered against Dallas in October but is a possibility to play in next week's clash with the AFC West champion Broncos.

Smith has missed Baltimore's last three games due to his surgery.

Veteran free safety Ed Reed (shoulder) is one of a number of Baltimore players that are probable to face Washington, a list that also includes wide receiver Jacoby Jones (ankle), strong safety Bernard Pollard (chest), fullback Vonta Leach (ankle) and defensive end Pernell McPhee (chest).
