New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks returned to practice Friday after sitting out Thursday's session with a sore left knee, though his status for Sunday's game with the New Orleans Saints remains uncertain.

Nicks did participate in a limited capacity on Friday and is listed as questionable on the final injury report.

The former first-round pick, who ranks second among Giants players in catches (46) and receiving yards (585) this season, has battled problems with his knee throughout this 2012 campaign and sat out three straight games earlier in the year due to soreness and swelling. Nicks also missed most of the preseason after fracturing his right foot during spring workouts.

In other team injury news, safety Kenny Phillips is not expected to play against the Saints after aggravating an existing knee injury in Monday's 17-16 loss at Washington. The fifth-year pro has been limited to just six games this season with the issue.

Phillips was declared doubtful for Sunday's tilt, with tight end Travis Beckum (knee) and reserve safety Tyler Sash (hamstring) ruled out.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (back), wide receiver Domenik Hixon (ankle), linebackers Michael Boley (shoulder) and Chase Blackburn (ankle) and center David Baas (shoulder) were among those listed as probable.
