A fight and shooting were reported Saturday night in Tacoma.

Police were sent to the 1300 block of South 19th Street after 9 p.m. for a fight in which a man was shot in the shoulder. The wound was not life-threatening, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

The victim was not cooperative in identifying the shooter, and witnesses gave conflicting descriptions, Fulghum said.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the gunman.
