Harlan Gallinger has been appointed to the Peninsula School Board. He will fill a seat vacated by Jill Uddenberg in September.

Gallinger was appointed by the board to serve the remaining three years of Uddenberg’s term. He was one of 13 who applied for the position.

Gallinger graduated from Sumner High School, the University of Puget Sound and the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is a physician who works in emergency medicine. He also has a teaching background with Teach for America, a national program that recruits recent college graduates who commit two years to teach in under-resourced urban and rural public schools.
