The Pittsburgh Steelers suspended running back Rashard Mendenhall for one game on Tuesday.
Mendenhall will miss Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys for conduct detrimental to the team.
The 25-year-old has endured a rash of injuries this year and has played just four games this season with 113 rushing yards on 34 carries. He missed the first three games of the season while recovering from an ACL tear, then missed four consecutive games due to an Achilles setback.
He was also inactive for a Week 13 win over the Baltimore Ravens and last week's 34-24 loss to the San Diego Chargers.
To fill Mendenhall's roster spot, running back Baron Batch was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad. Batch was on the active roster for the first 10 games of the season before being moved to the scout team the past three weeks.
