Kent police said a 50-year-old man with a history of mental illness was taken for an evaluation Wednesday night after he twice fired a gun inside his apartment.

Kent police said a 50-year-old man with a history of mental illness was taken for an evaluation Wednesday night after he twice fired a gun inside his apartment.

No one was injured, but at least one bullet pierced a neighbor’s window screen at the complex in the 11300 block of Kent Kagley Road. The shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m.
