Child abduction survivor Elizabeth Smart will speak in Lacey

Utah child abduction survivor Elizabeth Smart will share her story during a 7 p.m. event Jan. 10 at Saint Martin’s University Marcus Pavilion in Lacey.

“Hidden in Plain Sight: Protecting Our Children” also will feature a presentation by Rani Hong, a survivor of child trafficking and founder of the Olympia-based Tronie Foundation. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Thurston County.

Tickets, which can be purchased at thecommunityfoundation.com, are $15 for students and seniors, and $20 for adults.

In addition, Saint Martin's will host a free child safety Resource and Information Fair from 1 to 6 p.m. on that day.
