Glacier View and Kalles junior high schools have each demonstrated improvement over the past five years in reading and math, which has earned them the name a "School of Distinction" putting them among the top 5 percent of schools statewide.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Kalles has earned the distinction and the second year in a row for Glacier View.

The two schools earn the award based on students scoring at or above the state average in reading and math in grades three through eight on the 2012 Measurement of Student Progress.
