Public's help sought in drug-related killing in Lakewood

Lakewood police are asking for help identifying those responsible for the fatal shooting Nov. 12 of 32-year-old Jaime Diaz-Solis.

Lakewood police are asking for help identifying those responsible for the fatal shooting Nov. 12 of 32-year-old Jaime Diaz-Solis.

Diaz-Solis, of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico, was killed inside an apartment in the 5300 block of San Francisco Avenue Southwest in Lakewood.

Witnesses told police three black males ran from the area at the time of the shooting.

The victim was involved in drug trafficking, and a large amount of heroin was missing from his apartment after the shooting, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959. Tips are anonymous, and can lead to a reward of up to $1,000.
