D ec. 8 — A loss-prevention officer at Albertsons in Gig Harbor North called police to file a theft report after she witnessed a female suspect ditch a purse after she allegedly stole items from the store. A red Volkswagon and a license plate number were tied to a Tacoma address. The loss was reported to be $71.56. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
