A Kennewick man was killed on Interstate 90 after he lost control on the snowy road and drove under a semi-truck.

Cristoval Martinez, 38, was going east on I-90 and was about eight miles east of Cle Elum when the 6:45 p.m. Monday wreck happened, the Washington State Patrol said. There was snow and slush on the highway.

Martinez lost control of his 1993 Ford Mustang and swerved into the lane next to him where he went under the back of a semi-truck, troopers said. Martinez died at the scene.

The driver of the semi, Jose L. Ledesma, 40, of Phelan, Calif., was not hurt.
