Pat Neely made a last second layup to give Centralia a 59-58 home win over Steilacoom in a non-league game.
Mount Tahoma’s combination of Brian Neal (21 points) and Michael Rollins (17 points) proved too much for Spanaway Lake as the Narrows 3A Thunderbirds defeated the SPSL South Sentinels in overtime, 77-72. Braxton Tucker led all scorers with 27 points while adding 23 rebounds for Spanaway Lake.
In his first game back since quarterbacking Bellarmine Prep to a state title game appearance, Sefo Liufau scored 11 points while Gonzaga commit Lucas Meikle led the Lions with 13 in a 45-30 Narrows 4A road victory over Stadium.
Yelm’s Dalia Bader made a putback off a missed free-throw with 12 seconds left to give the Tornados a 38-36 girls victory over Bethel. Kaytreeona Mack (14 points, 10 rebounds) missed an 18-footer that would have tied the game as time expired.
Junior Katie Rozumny led Cascade Christian with 16 points and junior Olivia Tuttle contributed 15 to help the Cougars win a Nisqually League 1A home matchup against Charles Wright, 56-36. Majestic Moler led the Tarriers with 11 points.
