Askia Booker and Xavier Johnson each scored 17 points, and Colorado (9-2) routed Northern Arizona, 98-51, to give the Buffaloes their best start since opening 9-2 in 1994-95. … Josh Huestis tied a career-high with 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Bellevue’s Aaron Bright hit the go-ahead 3-pointer and Stanford (8-4) came away with a 70-68 road win over Northwestern.

WOMEN

Layshia Clarendon scored a season-high 28 points, Gennifer Brandon added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 8 California (9-1) beat No. 19 Kansas, 88-79, to match its best start in school history. Angel Goodrich had 21 points for the Jayhawks (9-2). … Jasmine Davis had a game-high 21 points to lead Washington (7-3), which was outrebounded 63-37 in a 52-44 road loss to Georgia Tech (5-5). … Freshman guard Lia Galdeira scored 16 points and sophomore guard Tia Presley added 14, but it wasn’t enough as Washington State (3-7) lost, 64-51, to Syracuse (11-1).

Four players scored in double digits for 5-3 Wisconsin led by Ben Brust with a season-high 22 points.

    Aminah Williams had a career-high 17 points to go with 15 rebounds, Jazmine Davis and Kristi Kingma each scored 17 points, and Washington (4-1) used a 21-4 run to end the first half to cruise to a 70-51 victory over Pepperdine (2-5).
