New York Jets coach Rex Ryan will have all three of his quarterbacks at his disposal on Sunday, as Greg McElroy, Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are all active for the team's home contest against the San Diego Chargers.
McElroy will make his first NFL start against the Chargers, while Sanchez and Tebow are both listed as the No. 2 quarterbacks.
McElroy subbed in for Sanchez a few weeks back against Arizona and guided New York to its only points in a 7-6 victory.
Sanchez returned the following week and led the Jets to a 17-10 triumph over Jacksonville to keep the team's slim playoff hopes alive, but the former first-round pick turned in a dreadful five turnover performance on Monday in a 14-10 loss to the Titans to end New York's bid for a postseason berth.
With the Jets looking toward next year, rumors have swirled about both Sanchez and Tebow being traded in the offseason.
Tebow, who is reportedly destined for Jacksonville at the end of the year, carried the ball three times for 15 yards in Monday's loss after sitting out the previous three weeks with a rib injury.
