For those who haven’t made New Year’s Eve plans, there are a variety of options in Puyallup:
• The Liberty Theater will hosting A Black and White Affair (attendees are encouraged to where all black or all white). Gallucci’s Catering will provide appetizers and other goods. There will be two DJs, who will play a variety of Top 40 music, and two full bars.
“This is our first time doing it, but we’re expecting a diverse crowd and a good turnout,” said Adrielle Flinders, one of the planners of the event.
Monday’s event is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are $25.
• Charlie’s restaurant has teamed up with Life’s Handy Work to hold The Masquerade Ball for Nepal.
Life’s Handy Work is an organization meant to support the Nepal Orphans Home, which works to benefit Nepalese children by helping to provide education, vocational training and housing as they grow into adulthood.
“They do a ball every year and wanted to work with us, and we thought it was a good cause,” Charlie’s owner Janice Carter said.
The event will feature a buffet, dancing, a photo booth, dessert, a champagne toast and a contest for the most elaborate mask.
The event will run from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at www.lifeshandywork.com.
• Toscanos Café and Wine Bar will combine with Hampton Inn and Suites for a special New Year’s Eve package, which will include transportation to and from the restaurant, priority dinner reservations, a party at Hampton Inn and Suites catered by Toscanos, dancing and a midnight toast.
Hotel accommodations include free parking, use of the pool and hot tub, complimentary breakfast and late checkout. The package costs $159. To make reservations, call 253-770-8880.
• Bumpy’s will hold its eighth annual free champagne toast at midnight to ring in the new year.
Owner Brian Gelston said the event started because, “it’s just a good start to the new year.”
No reservations are necessary, and there will be no cover charge.
