Question: What do authorities recommend females driving alone do when stopped by unmarked cars?
Its not unheard of for predators to use flashing lights on their dashes to pull over victims. I see these units on back streets in our neighborhood with no public place in the vicinity for the driver to pull over for safety purposes. As a mother of two single daughters, this concerns me. Answer: Law-enforcement officers said unmarked police cars sometimes do pull drivers over for traffic violations, but it doesnt happen often. A police officer wont pull you over in a place thats not safe, Washington State Patrol trooper Guy Gill said. If you find yourself being pulled over, do just that pull over.
Most police agencies use unmarked cars in the commission of their duties, but their emergency lights (red and blue) are very visible. An officer will be immediately recognizable by his or her uniform or a visible badge.
