Beginning tonight, a free introduction to Portuguese class will be offered at the Gig Harbor Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ stake office, located on the corner of Rosedale Street and Dorotich Street in downtown Gig Harbor.
The 10-week course will be held from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesdays.
Instructor Alfred Gunn has taught Portuguese at the Language Training Mission in Provo, Utah, and he currently guides annual tours of Brazil.
Classes, which are open to everyone, are designed to instruct students in the correct pronunciation and basic conversational Portuguese.
